What is Elon Musk’s SpaceX?

SpaceX is an American space transportation services company that is headquartered in Hawthorne, California. It was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk with the goal of reducing space transportation costs to enable the colonization of Mars. According to SpaceX.com, Musk and his crew have spent the last fews years designing and constructing the proper technology, and the mission is almost ready to go into action. Musk announces that the launch will take place in early 2022.

Musk has a plan to reinvent the way we send rocket ships to space. He believes that sending a one way rocket is a huge waste of money, time, and resources. According to Darrell Etherington of Tech Crunch, Musk has designed a way for the rocket to go into space and come back down to earth in one piece. The rocket itself costs around $250 million.

Musk also has a new and improved SpaceX space suit. The black and white, form fitting one piece suits, is called the “Starman Suit.”

The suits are designed to plug into the capsule’s seat. With the advanced technology within the suit, astronauts can be more mobile and safe when attempting to reach Mars. The space suits however, are not cheap.

“My proceeds from the PayPal acquisition were $180 million. I put $100 million in SpaceX. I had to borrow money for rent, said Musk.

Elon and his crew at SpaceX have been working on this project for nearly 20 years. SpaceX’s first launch to Mars is around right around the corner…
