Incoming Album from Harry Styles Titled “Fine Line”

On Dec. 13 of this year, Harry Styles will be releasing his new album Fine Line, which he previewed during Saturday Night Live on Nov. 16. Since his last album, Harry Styles, was released in 2017, fans have been anticipating his next drop. His live release party of Fine Line is to be hosted at The Forum in Inglewood, CA on Dec. 13, which is almost completely sold out. In the year 2020, his tour abound both America and Europe is set, however, future dates for his extension in Asia or South America have yet to be confirmed. The new album consists of twelve songs that range from 3 to 6 minutes. “Lights Up” was the first single he shared from the album, and it was paired with the song’s music video on Oct. 10. His second taste of his new album was his performance of “Watermelon Sugar” when he hosted SNL, and it has already accumulated 4.6 million views as of today, Nov. 20.

“Love on Tour”, the name for his album’s concert series, is meant to follow his psychedelic theme of the tone of the songs. Since the focus of his songs in this collection is about complicated relationships, it holds a message of healing. In an article from Rolling Stone, Styles elaborates on how the album itself is a big step for him in portraying himself with individual confidence and expressing himself properly. For example, the cover art displays his more feminine side in one of his commonly sported custom Gucci outfits. He has expressed passion for the feminist, LGBTAI+, Black Lives Matter, and Ending Gun Violence movements, but these are his first steps into embracing his own sense of individuality.

For his European leg of the tour, Styles will be joined by alternative-pop singer King Princess. Mikaela Mullaney Straus, the singer’s real name, is known for her support of the LGBTAI+ community. As for North America, Jenny Lewis, an indie rock musician, is set to open for Styles for the entire tour. Furthermore, Koffee is a Jamaican reggae rapper who will make an appearance for the concerts in Mexico at the end of his tour in North America.
