Keeping Up With the Kardashians: Season 17 Recap

Keeping Up With the Kardashians: Season 17 Recap

The Kardashian-Jenner family has become a household name at this point. With too many controversies to count, like Kylies infamous lip fillers, and their constant presence all over social media, the Kardashian-Jenner family is hard to ignore. “America’s First Family,” as Cosmopolitan Magazine called them, has successfully aired 17 seasons of their reality television show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. As season 17 comes to an end, let’s take a look back at the highlights of this season.

As the season began, Khloe Kardashian was in the midst of a very public break up with the father of her child, Tristan Thompson. After allegations of Thompson cheating on Khloe with her close friend Jordan Woods came out, Khloe was struggling with how to handle the situation. Throughout the season we see Khloe and Tristan dealing with the task of co-parenting their now one year old baby girl, True Thompson.

By the end of the season, with many, many bumps along the road, Khloe finally finds peace and healing after her emotional break up, speaking out on twitter saying, “This was such a horrible time in my life but time really does heal and help people move on. Thank you for that.”

The Kardashian-West clan welcomed their fourth baby to their family, a baby boy named Psalm West. Baby Psalm is the second child that has been born through surrogacy for Kim and Kanye, following their one year old girl, Chicago West. The couple recently said that with both their busy schedules and wanting to give each child an equal amount of attention, they will stop at four kids.

Perhaps the most entertaining and drama-filled episode of season 17 was the finale. After admitting that the family had been arguing too much, momager Kris Jenner suggested a bonding activity that, as we all could have guessed, went terribly wrong. The sisters were supposed to choose another sister to express a characteristic that they admire about the other. It quickly turned into a mocking game that lead to some funny moments that were pushed a little too far for Kourtney Kardashian. Kourtney expressed that she was unhappy when she was around her sisters and made it clear that she didn’t want to film the show anymore. Kourtney said that her children come first, and if that means stepping back from the show, then that’s what she will do.

Although we were left wondering if Kourtney will return for season 18, the season peacefully ended with the sisters hashing it out and coming to terms that they all have different priorities that need to be respected.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians season 17 has come to an end, but don’t worry, you can catch your favorite family again for season 18 in the spring of 2020. I’m sure the episodes will be filled with more drama and wholesome family moments than ever!
