Season 24 Bachelor Premiere Recap

Season 24 Bachelor Premiere Recap

The 24th season of The Bachelor premiered this past Monday, January 6, 2020. This time around, 30 girls will vie for Peter Webber’s heart in the most emotional and dramatic season yet.

In the premier, all thirty girls got the chance to introduce themselves to both Peter, and Bachelor Nation, and attempted to make a lasting impression in order to move on to the next round.

Tensions were already high, but things escalated when the previous Bachelorette, Hannah Brown, showed up for the first time.

After meeting each of the 30 contestants, and the drama with Hannah B., Peter headed inside the mansion to get to know the girls better before the first impression rose. Tensions among the girls grew even more hostile when the competition for Peter’s attention heated up. Some girls got the chance to talk to Peter several times before the end of the night, while others only got their introduction.

Following conversations, Peter gave out the first rose to Hannah Ann, a 23 year old model from Knoxville, Tennessee.

Peter had to decide which 8 girls would go home on the first night. The following girls were still in the running after the rose ceremony:

Alayah, 24-year-old orthodontist assistant from Texas

Alexa, 27-year-old esthetician from Illinois

Courtney, 26-year-old cosmetologist from Florida

Deandra, 23-year-old home care coordinator from Texas

Hannah Ann, 23-year-old model from Tennessee

Jasmine, 25-year-old client relations manager from Texas

Kelley, 27-year-old attorney from Illinois

Kelsey, 28-year-old professional clothier from Iowa

Kiarra, 23-year-old nanny from Georgia

Lauren, 26-year-old marketing executive from California

Madison, 23-year-old foster parent recruiter from Alabama

Mykenna, 22-year-old fashion blogger from Canada

Natasha, 31-year-old event planner from New York

Payton, 23-year-old business development representative from Massachusetts

Sarah, 24-year-old medical radiographer from Tennessee

Savannah, 27-year-old realtor from Texas

Shiann, 27-year-old administrative assistant from Nevada

Sydney, 24-year-old retail marketing manager from Alabama

Tammy, 24-year-old house flipper from New York

Victoria F., 25-year-old medical sales representative from Virginia

Victoria P., 27-year-old nurse from Louisiana

The next day 9 girls and Peter headed out for the first group date of the season where they would attend a mock flight school, do an obstacle course, and experience both physical and emotional turbulence. The night ended with Peter taking one lucky girl on a flight over Los Angeles.

The next day started with a one-on-one date. Peter took Madison to a small ceremony where his parents renewed their vows. The evening was followed by a romantic dinner.

The next day there was another group date, and this one got a little awkward to say the least. Hannah B. showed up again and stirred up even more drama. She pulled Peter aside for an extremely emotional conversation. Peter questioned if she regretted her decision of sending him home and asked her how she would feel about being a contestant on the show. This was a dramatic and shocking end to an already emotional episode. Will Hannah B. be on The Bachelor for second time? Bachelor nation will find out next week. Be sure to tune in!
